Ragazza (Italian for girl) is a neighborhood restaurant with wood fired oven, featuring Neapolitan-style thin crust pizza, seasonal salads, antipasti, baked pasta and roasts - all served in a casual convivial setting.

At its heart, Ragazza is an Italian restaurant celebrating what is local and seasonal. Just like our Italian counterparts, we strive to treat the product simply and with care, altering it very little and letting the true flavors shine through. We draw inspiration from Italy for our dishes, and occasionally delve into other parts of the Mediterranean.

We use Bianco di Napoli tomatoes for our tomato sauce and Giusto’s and Caputo flours for our dough. We build our menu around the availability of produce from local farms such as Star Route, Mariquita and Martin’s Farm. And we use a mix of different cheeses, some local, some Italian, but always with an eye towards what is most flavorful and delicious. Striving to embody that true Italian spirit and glorious love for food and dining!

Our story

Ragazza opened in 2010 as the second restaurant by chef/owner Sharon Ardiana. Ragazza is an homage to the talented Italian female cooks in her family.

The theme of family is celebrated throughout the restaurant with walls adorned with black and white family photos that span almost a century and three generations.

Tucked into an iconic storefront on Divisadero Street, Ragazza is a Nopa neighborhood staple for gathering, celebrating and communing. Whether it’s date night, a quick meal at the counter or a friends & family celebration, Ragazza’s intimate dining room and garden oasis with heated gazebo make for a perfect location.
